2022 Oceania Championships (BMX, Mountain Bike, Road and Track)

The Oceania Cycling Confederation, AusCycling, Tourism and Events Queensland and Brisbane Economic Development Agency are delighted to announce that Brisbane, Australia will host the first combined Oceania Cycling Championships, 27 March – April 11, 2022 as a part of the Brisbane Cycling Festival presented by King St.

Oceania championship titles will be contested across the eight disciplines of BMX Racing, BMX Freestyle, Mountain Bike Cross Country, Mountain Bike Downhill, Para-cycling (road and track), Road (time trial & road race) and Track. The Oceania Gran Fondo Challenge will also be contested as a non-championship event.

2022 Oceania Championship Schedule:

  • Mountain Bike Downhill: 19 – 20 March 2022
  • Mountain Bike XCO: 26 – 27 March 2022
  • Track (inc Para-cycling): 2 – 5 April 2022
  • BMX Racing: 8 April 2022 (BMX National Cup: 9 April 2022)
  • BMX Freestyle: 10 April 2022
  • Road (including Para-cycling and Gran Fondo Challenge): 10 April 2022
  • Time Trial (inc Para-cycling): 9 April 2022

The Oceania Cycling Confederation (OCC) is recognised by the Union Cycliste International (UCI) as the regional governing body for the sport of cycling in the continent of Oceania. The OCC is one of five continental confederations recognised by the UCI, encompassing the continents of Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania and Pan-America. The UCI Continental Championships are the highest ranked UCI sanctioned international Championships in cycling after the UCI World Championships.
