Australia’s biggest multi-disciplinary cycling event puts pedal to the metal this week when Brisbane Cycling Festival flicks the kickstand on its bumper lineup of more than 75 rides, races, events, expos and entertainment at various locations across Brisbane.
Running from Wednesday 24 March to Monday 12 April 2021, Brisbane Cycling Festival has a jam-packed program of free and ticketed events over 20 days geared for professional and amateur riders of all ages and abilities.

Spokes ‘N Jokes
This week, we’re off and racing with launch event Spokes ‘N Jokes. The cocktail-style event is an entertaining storytelling session hosted by cycling commentator Matt Keenan with cycling greats such as Katherine Bates, Robbie McEwen, Sara Carrigan and Henk Vogels.
Friday 26 March, Welcome to Bowen Hills
AusCycling Elite & U19 Track National Championships
The elite and junior pros will don their kits on for the AusCycling Elite & U19 Track National Championships. Over five cycling-packed days, see some of the nation’s best track riders in action for the biggest domestic track event in Australia.

Flavours of the Festival
Fuel your cycling fervour throughout the Brisbane Cycling Festival with Flavours of the Festival. Attendees can access a range of special deals and themed offers from select restaurants, breweries, wineries and cafes around Brisbane to keep the good times rolling.

Seniors can learn with Cycling Without Age at New Farm Park on Wednesday 24 March, or get the kids along to Sleeman Sports Centre to try weekly Track Cycling – Junior and Track Cycling – Adult with Balmoral Cycling Club on Thursday 25 March. You can also join the Bike With Brisbane – Active Commute Day at King George Square on Thursday 25 March for free coffee, prizes, entertainment and more.
Get the crew together for an action-packed weekend at Brisbane Cycling Festival. On Saturday 27 March and Sunday 28 March, you can book a spot for the Riverlife Water Bike Experience & Picnic, Speed Date an Electric Bike, Bike Riding Skills for Adults and Wheely Fun events for kids to learn to ride. For sporty spectators, check out the BMX Shootout Series and Cross Country Mountain Bike Event for Juniors.
