Kersten designs Brisbane Cycling Festival 2020 Jersey!

The Brisbane Cycling Festival is excited to announce it’s merchandise range for 2020! Complete with bib and brace knicks, t-shirts and caps, the star of the merchandise range is the cycling jersey designed by one of Australia’s most successful all-round track cyclists, none other than Ben Kersten.

Adding design to his list of many accolades, Ben Kersten holds an impressive list cycling achievements, including winning more than thirty Australian National titles, two World Cup titles and two World titles. He was a UCI World Cup Champion, held two Junior World Records and is a two-time Australian Cyclist of the Year.

Kersten’s career continued to thrive when he transitioned from track to road racing. He won the USA Pro Title in his first year of competitive road racing. He then went on to win Gold in the 1km Time Trial at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.

Even after retiring from professional cycling in 2012, Kersten continued to do extraordinary things for the cycling community. He began working as a director with young Australian development teams, before taking up the role as head coach at the NSW Institute of Sport, a position he held for five years prior to co-founding the Australian Cycling Academy in 2017, where he continues to be a managing director of the organisation.

Throughout his career, Kersten has inspired, coached and encouraged all of the Australian Cycling community to train, strive and cycle harder.
