2020 Brisbane Cycling Festival Cancelled

After the huge success of the Brisbane Cycling Festival in 2019, there has been excitement and hype building towards this year’s event. However, following the recent advice in regards to COVID-19 virus and mass gatherings, we have had to make a difficult decision in regards to the continuation of the festival. This decision is based on the advice received from the Federal Government, and with the health and well being of the cycling community in mind.

Track National Championships
Cycling Australia released a statement at the end of last week announcing that the Junior Track National Championships that were due to start later this week are cancelled, and the Elite Track National Championships are postponed.

Six Day Series Final

The Six Day Brisbane event did not take place as scheduled from 3-5 April, 2020. All ticket holders should now have received a refund from the relevant ticketing outlet where the tickets were purchased.

Tour De Brisbane

The 2020 Tour de Brisbane has been postponed to 11 April 2021. All registered riders have been moved to the 2021 Start List, and entries for new riders are opening soon.

The Brisbane Cycling Festival would also like to confirm that the festival supporting events such as the Gala Luncheon, Festival Village and Sunday Sessions have been cancelled for 2020.

We are committed to bringing you updated information on these events as it becomes available, and to plan for an amazing 2021 Brisbane Cycling Festival.
